It’s crazy what’s been going on out there the last few days. The world’s descending into lockdown and the global economy is grinding to a crawl. It means a whole lot of businesses are having to figure out entirely new ways to connect with people if they have hope of keeping the doors open the next few weeks and months.
Social distancing means a lot of the face-to-face interactions we relied on to conduct transactions and to sell our goods and services are not currently feasible. It can be a challenge to completely rethink all your sales and marketing channels.
There are options out there. At fine dining restaurants, it might mean figuring out how to transition to take-out only and connect with your customers online. For local gyms and trainers, perhaps it means setting up online classes with YouTube videos. Financial advisors might find it’s as simple as setting up Zoom conference calls with prospective new clients rather than scheduling face-to-face meetings.
For many businesses, there’s a very real possibility the new endeavor won’t be as profitable as the old way of doing things, but if this pandemic has the world on lockdown for weeks or even months, why not find ways to make the best of the time you’re going to be spending away from customers?
Sure, you could shut things down, relax, read a good book, or binge-watch Game of Thrones all over again, but when the pandemic subsides and it’s time to again get back to doing what you do best, it will be much easier to rebuild if your clients and customers have been interacting with your brand throughout the downtime.
So find ways to connect, even if it’s just posting a few times a week to social media. And if you can, find ways to keep things moving and working on-line, despite the possibility of barely breaking even.
As much as we can, we’d like to help. If you need a little advice, a few tips on setting up Zoom, a new website, or some help setting up some Facebook ads, that’s what we do. We’d love to connect over the internet to offer what help we can.
We’ve got the experience and the knowledge to help guide you and your business through a digital transformation. We know how to connect with people on-line, through Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads and more. And the great thing about web design and social media marketing is that we can continue to do the work we’ve been doing for over a decade from home.
Give us a call, shoot us an email, or a message on social media; pick our brains, there’s no charge for our advice. We’re all going to get through this together and on the other side, we all come out ahead.
